Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone (pronounced [di:pIka p@dUko:ne":" or "pa:dUko:nBorn 5 January 1986) is an Indian actress that is mostly in Hindi film productions. There have been three Filmfare Awards have been given to her making her among India's most well-paid actresses. Time Magazine ranked Padukone as one of the top 100 influential people in the world of 2018. They also gave her an award called the TIME100 Impact Award 2022. Padukone, the daughter of the player of badminton Prakash Padukone, was born in Copenhagen and was raised in Bangalore. As a teenager she was a badminton player in the national championships, but she resigned her profession in sports to work as a fashion model. The model soon began receiving offers for film roles, and she started her acting career in the year 2006, playing the lead character in Aishwarya, a Kannada film, Aishwarya. Padukone was then cast in the double character as Shah Rukh Khan opposite her in Om Shanti Om (2007) which was her first Bollywood release. The film was awarded Padukone an award called the Filmfare Award Best Female Debut. Padukone received praise for her performance as the lead in Love Aaj Kal, but later suffered a loss.
