She took her stage name from her great-grandmother, and named it after her Anna Maria Parisse. Annie Parisse first met Paul Sparks in the year 2005. They were friends for a time during 2005 before getting married in the month of October. Alongside the couple's son Emmett Sparks, the couple has also one daughter. Louis Cancelmi (married Elisabeth Waterston) who is a well-known actor as well as Michael Cancelmi who is a Italian teacher are her older brothers.
