Lucy-Liu
Lucy Liu, an American voice actress producer director and singer, is also an accomplished actor. Beautiful, intelligent and skilled actress, she's a great inspiration to Asian actors who are aspiring to be big stars in Hollywood. In the wake of a number of first appearances in some popular series her fame was boosted when she joined the team of the legal comedy show Ally McBeal where she played the sly Ling Woo. The fame she gained from the show was translated into films roles like Shanghai Noon or Charlie's Angels. Her next performance was a dazzling performance in the role of Japanese criminal O-Ren Ishii as Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Volume 1. Also, she portrayed leading parts in box office flops such as Rise: Blood Hunter. In the following years, she started to voice prominent characters in animated films such including Kung Fu Panda and Tinker Bell. Mia Mason from Cashmere Mafia was a small role that didn't have any impact. Southland, the critically-acclaimed drama police show in which Liu appeared in on a regular basis played a part that has helped her regain her status as a an internationally acclaimed actress. Liu selects her roles carefully so that she doesn't become a typecast character in this competitive industry. Though she's extremely proud of her culture but she doesn't let it limit her imagination.
